Step one. An adult butterfly lays an egg. Then in a week that egg hatches and turns into a tiny baby caterpillar. That tiny caterpillar eats lots of food. And then it gets all big and fat. Then it goes into a chrysalis for a week. Then a butterfly comes out and dries its wings. And then it flies away. The End

Monarch butterflies
